The New Epromer-5 is finally here!!!

Full Install	3.8MBytes Sep/10/2002	epromer5_1.zip - Complete Windows Installation Package - Download, Unzip and Run the SETUP file. It will install all the necessary files and DLLs at your computer. We recommend you to install at the default directory; C:\Program Files\Epromer5. - After the installation, we always suggest you to download the file below (epromer5n.exe) and replace the one at the installation directory. The epromer5n.exe below could be more updated than the same one into this zip file.
Epromer5N	260kBytes Jan/10/2003	epromer5n.exe - V1.0.23 This is the main windows executable file. It is at the latest possible version. A file like this is included into the big zip file above, but this one could be more updated. So, after installation of the above, always download this file and replace the one into your installation directory. Version 1.0.20 now accepts binary file of 2MBytes for odd/even byte programming.. Program Speed Slider now when set below value of 10, will reduce 5 times the program speed from the normal values, for very speed computers. Speeds lower than 1GHs, use values 10 or above, above 1GHz use 9 or below. . Added new Flash unit am29F040 and N/HMOS Eprom 27128 (21Vpp). Added new Flash unit EON EN29F040. Added 2732A Eprom. Epromer6AC	260kBytes Oct/13/2003	epromer6ac.exe - V1.0.54 This is the main windows executable file. It is at the latest possible version for the Epromer6 BETA VERSION. If this is your first EPROMER software installation, please first download and install the FULL-INSTALL above, then just download and copy the EPROMER5N.EXE (above) and EPROMER6AB.EXE (here) into the same installation directory. The Beta Version is a PHOENIX version of the ashes of Epromer5N. Just copy this epromer6ac.exe file into the same directory you installed the previous epromer5n.exe software, create a shortcut to your desktop and you are ready to go. Epromer6AB.exe uses the same other support files of Epromer5N.exe, so you can have both versions at your machine. Epromer5N source file was destroyed in a flooding we had, unfortunately with all the backup files. A backup saved in other location, not updated, allowed us to rebuilt it as Epromer6 version. Unfortunately all the FLASH devices routines were lost, they are being rebuilt and soon to be available again. The Epromer6 was basically done to support the new board being distributed since January 2003. It can drive the Epromer5 and Epromer4 board without any problem. The TESTPORT function identifies the correct board connected to the parallel port. Read the model number under the board, and make sure Epromer6 identifies correctly. Version Epromer6ab: Added Eeprom 24C08, 24C16 and 24C32. Version Epromer6ac (1.0.54) Fixed Bug that caused ERROR 13, when program launching by the first time with the Epromer board plugged at the cable. (Missing EPROMER6.INI file). Fixed 24C32 write page size. Fixed Timeout Routines when 24CXX eproms don't answer the protocol. Improved algoritm for all EPROMS, from 2732 up to 27C801 - better error recovery and programming error handling. Again, you can have both versions at your computer, if possible use Epromer6AB as your official version, when dealing with FLASH units, you can go select the Epromer5N. Avoid to run both versions at the same time.
By some reason not even Microsoft explains, their own VB6 Suite generated Installation Package sometimes crashes or loops during files installation. If this is your case, interrupt the installation process and try to run the Epromer5N program directly from the installation directory. If something is missing you can download it from this (yellow) area. If the software complains about a missing DLL or OCX, you can find it below, just download, unzip, move to your C:\Windows or C:\Windows\System directory as stated. In terms, you don't even need to download the Full-Install package, you can create a new directory, example; C:\EPROMER5 and copy the EPROMER5N.EXE into, also download the IO.DLL to your C:\WINDOWS directory. Then run the Epromer5N and see what else it is complaining, download and install it from this yellow area. Some Windows already have the DLLs or OCX installed, some don't. It is impossible to know your actual status. Some OCX or DLL require you to update Windows Registry, to do so, just go to Start, Run and type; REGSVR32 FILE.OCX or REGSVR32 FILE.DLL whatever the case, where "FILE" is the filename, of course.. IO.DLL	49kBytes Oct/16/2002	IO.DLL Some Windows2000, WindowsNE and WindowsXP machines does not run well the Epromer5 installation files, and it end up without this IO.DLL at the WINDOWS directory. If when running the EPROMER5N program it complains missing this file, please download it and copy to the C:\WINDOWS directory and try the program again.
